BIOGRAPHY

The Tree That Falls is an acoustic duet featuring cellist Cristobal Cruz-Garcia and guitarist John Shafer. Established in early 2016, the duo incorporates the modern fingerstyle technique for both guitar and cello while taking influence from a wide variety of world styles and genres. Inspirations include artists such as Andy McKee, Jon Gomm, Adrian Bellue, Eugene Friesen and Balmorhea. The duo are joined by singer and close friend Brandon Shah, marking their first collaboration with a dedicated vocalist.
