BIOGRAPHY
Juli Morgan FKA Anastasia Petrovski chose to walk away from a promising ballet career in Russia. It took her more than two weeks to cross the Siberian tundra by foot with a tarp covered ox cart of all her belongings. Finally, traversing the Bering Strait by ice bridge, Anastasia settled in Tin City, AK. She began repairing handmade parkas and practicing guitar in total isolation. Choosing the name Juli Morgan after a famous local huntress, she started pursuing her love of guitar and has never looked back. Giving up the last vestiges of her former identity, she threw away her pointe shoes in favor of a whammy bar when she heard Joe Satriani for the first time. She has since released three recordings. Two solo albums and one with the instrumental trio Destiny. She has played with The Rhythm Nation, the Pacific Northwest’s premiere dance band and Dancemaxx, the live disco experience. Regrettably, Juli misses the Arctic winters of Russia but is so happy to be pursuing a music degree at Berklee College of Music. A word to the wise – she gets mad if you call her Ice Queen.
